Why Aluminium Patio Furniture?
Aluminum patio furniture comes in two types; cast and frame. Cast aluminum patio furniture is manufactured by liquefying the metal and pouring it into a hollow cavity mold to create tables, chairs and other items. When the metal is cooled and has had the appropriate time to harden, the mold is removed from around the furniture piece. The only restriction in the design of this type of furniture is that small, intricate details may not be possible as the hollow mold has to be wide enough to allow the liquid aluminum to flow through it quickly and evenly. The resulting furniture pieces can be quite stunning, including tables with faux weaving patterns and simulated carved bases.
Cast aluminum patio furniture has the same look as stainless steel furniture but has a much lower price tag. Aluminum is more economical as it is the most abundant metal on the planet. The other key benefit to aluminum patio furniture is the weight. Most pieces will be much lighter then their wood or other iron counterparts.
Frame aluminum patio furniture combines pieces of aluminum framing with mesh wrapped around for the back and seat. You've most likely seen chairs or recliners made using solid or hollow aluminum framing at your local garden center. While furniture designers and manufacturers are limited with what they can do with the round aluminum framing, they can use various materials and designs for the meshwork to come up with some beautiful pieces of patio furniture. This type of furniture tends to be much less expensive then cast aluminum ones.
The most common pieces of aluminum patio furniture are the table and chair sets although you can also find beautiful crafted benches, chaise lounges and side tables.
